Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Hey I was wondering if you guys have noticed the Mortal Strike ability ignoring a targets armor? I was looking at my combat logs and was hit for the same amount of damage from mortal strike in and out of bear form.
