lvling as fury imp. slam spec

lvling as fury imp. slam spec

by fish » Sun Aug 02, 2015 3:39 pm

So I decided to try out the 2h fury slam spec as my lvling choice and it's actually working really good so far. (maybe because the lvl 30 axe is op)

But I just recently dinged 36 and I'm wondering, do I even bother using WW? Because I feel like spamming spam (correctly) is just better and also I don't need to stay in zerker doing that.

My next question is similar: what about bloodthirst? Should I use my rage casting that or just keep doing the slam thing? If so, I'd imagine I'll have this very same rotation all the way to 60.

Anyone else tried lvling with this spec?

Thanks.

You should never ever be using slam. It is a waste of a talent for 99% of the warrior community. It can be utilized to decent effect if you are an expect at timing the slams, and dont suffer from high latency (which this server does anyways), also slam outside of raiding is even more of a waste.

TLDR: Dont ever use slam. Use bloodthirst, WW and stance dance for overpower.

Haha. Well that was harsh. I don't know. I've really been plowing through the mobs very smoothly, and I do manage to time slams well I'd say. It's doing such huge damage at this level, but then again, it might because of how op the axe currently is.

I think I'm gonna stick to it for few more lvls and see if I lose the power as the axe wears out (though I'll be replacing it at 40 I believe)

Considering the rage could be spent better on WW, OP, Bloodthirst, Heroic Strike I would still advice that you remove slam from the rotation. Surely you dont have enough rage to cover all these abilities, as well as slam?

Fish is level 36 so doesn't have Bloodthirst yet, so thats out of the rotation. Heroic strike is a rage dump and takes up a white attack. WW is also quite heavy on rage cost.

Slam and OP are best. Slam when used with correct timing (even easier to do with an attack time castbar). Will basically give you extra attacks over time.

dont even buy slam.

Its tricky to use well (and only in pve) but its impossible to use it at all on this server because of delay. just forget about it.

Still 2H fury is really good, forget dual fury unless you are bis stuffed (lots of +hit items)
2H Arms = 2H fury for levelling it just depends on how you feel about it.

Some very mixed opinions here. And I don't suffer from delay really.

I'm about to hit 40 i'll try to just use bt/ww and the evaluate what's better

I leveled with imp slam through lvl 44 till i got my stoneslayer from uldaman and respeced to arms sword.

it is the best leveling ability don't listen to people who refuse that, they are close minded arms players.

my 2 cents.

Were you using BT or WW in your rotation or only slam/hs?

Never HS, always build rage, slam, build rage. slam, whirlwind only when more than 2 targets, single target always focus slam.
( btw bloodthirst is not available before 40 anyway )
make sure u dont get delay on your cast of slam, learn to use it without getting ur cast time slowed or losing auto swing time.
