Since Rend dmg doesnt scale with ap, i was wondering if its worth to spend 10rage to use it

ok I'm sorry, but truthfully, Rend is useless in Vanilla - especially against raid bosses with only 8 debuff slots

the damage is pitiful and would take up a needed debuff slot - never mind the fact that it's not even worth the rage needed to do it

Even if the debuff limit didn't exist, rend would still be worthless in PvE. It's only good to put on a rogue to disable his/her ability to restealth. I guess it's ok for leveling too.

Currently on Nostalrius there are a maximum of 8 debuff slots but once patch 1.7 content becomes available here, the debuff limit will be raised to 16.

there is a priority list:

Debuffs/Dots protected (High priority - can't be removed by other debuff) :

- CC spell : fear, stun, sheep, blind...
- Vampiric Embrace
- Sunder Armor
- Faerie Fire
- Demoralize shout
- Thunder clap
- Winter's Chill
- Taunt
- Fire Vunerability (Improved scroch)
- Improved Shadow bolt
- Curse of Recklessness
- Curse of the Elements
- Curse of Weakness
- Curse of Tongues
- Hunter's Mark
- Shadow weaving
- Disarm
- Mocking Blow
- Challenging Shout
- Judgement of Light, Wisdom and Crusader for the alliance

Unprotected debuff (can be removed by other debuff)

Medium priority:
- Corruption
- Insect Swarm
- Hemorrhage
- Moonfire
- Mortal Strike

Low:
- Ignite
- Expose Weakness
- Immolate
- Serphent Sting
- Deep Wounds
- Rupture
- Garotte
- Deadly Poison
- Curse of Agony
- Bane of Doom
