Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

My endgame is pvp. I've been looking around several vanilla websites (yes, db.vanilla so don't be a douche and auto refer me there) for gear planning. My question is, what pieces of raid gear do I actually need to strive for? Even 5 man BiS. I would absolutely hate to switch to prot to run for a few pieces of gear and be forced to pvp and pve in the mean time while waiting to do a decent raid a few times a week. Any good craftables I could purchase? I already have the anti disarm disarm gloves in mind so I can +damage my weapon (AV 2h mace).

Any CONSTRUCTIVE input would b greatly appreciated.

If you diehard pvp and go for r13/14 your set for life apart from a few offpieces:

- Onyxia neck from turning in head (if you tank though go with trinket instead and get eshkander's)
- Quick Strike ring from MC
- Striker's Mark MC
- Azuregos cape (dont count on it, though it's not a raid atleast)
- BRE/Spinal/Sulfuras are mandatory Rag drops if you dont go for r14
- Onslaught girdle from Rag is pretty huge too

Lionheart and flameguard/stronghold swap is on par with r13/r12 gear currently. With BWL release you'll want chromatic boots and nef head ring on top of that to be optimal. AB exalted shoulders on top of that whenever the vendor is in game.

WSG bracer, AV ring will fill the rest and AB cape is also a very good non raid option.

ZG will add better gloves and a couple of alternatives.

Only during the patches between AQ and Naxx will there be a real incentive to tryhard pve though, since pvp armor wont get updated until 1.10 despite the weapons getting buffed with 1.7.

5man gear is easy: mara ring, satyrs bow, will of martyr/mark of fordring + AV / Stoneskin cape, t0 chest/shoulder/gloves/bracer, cloudkeepers, lionheart, belt of might/omokks. Go for 5% hit but dont sacrifice much for it.
