Rage Generation Bugged

So i have a lot of experience leveling warriors on Vanilla retail. Two to max, and three to about 30-40.
There is a big problem with the rage generation mechanism. Rage starvation in real. It mostly noticed in dungeons where i have loads of experience remembering the way it worked.
On Nostalrius i am not gaining extra rage for being crit by a mob, it remains to be 1 per hit taken, but it is supposed to scale with the amount of health you're losing.
Back in the day i remember gaining huge rage tanking when i was undergeared and taking loads of hits and crits. Now, i am almost always rage starved in situations where i would otherwise have plenty of rage. It has gotten to a point where it's frustrating to play when i can notice that one of the key components of the class is not working properly. This is likely linked to the bug with critters not providing any health whatsoever.
Any word on if the devs know about this? To me, it would be similar to if the 5 second rule wasn't working properly/was an 8 second rule instead. It makes fighting in PvP as well as Tanking to be merely a battle of generating enough rage, while it was never his bad in retail.

You sure the conditions are the same as from your memories in retail? They might not be the same since people here seem to be more picky about tank level/gear than in retail. Also, the classes here are 1.12 even though we are "in 1.5."

Rage generation at lower gear levels or experience levels was buffed in TBC. Some time in vanilla rage generation was nerfed in general because raid geared players had infinite rage.
I have a feeling you are remembering TBC.

Armil is correct.
It was a ninja nerf in 1.9 as warriors could use management and bloodrage to start every pull with 100 rage.
The 1 rage point, it is based off of damage taken, not % of health lost. You may just be on the cuff of getting 2 rage but not there yet. Remember is these types of equations the remainder is alway dropped, never rounded up.
As you get higher level and take more damage, this is not an issue. Issue becomes i am dodging, parrying too much to get hit for rage.
Rage pull when you can, no reason to burn all rrage when mob is about to die when you can save it for next pull.

You are supposed to gain rage from dodging and parrying. This is a mechanic that is missing from private servers.

Pretty sure this is false. You have any evidence for that?
You need a talent in order to generate rage when you block, I don't see why dodge/parry would generate rage by default but block would not.

Yea, since the idea is you gain a certain amount of rage directly related to the damage you take and dodged and parried attacks mean 0 damage, that would mean 0 rage.

So many people just invent how they want the game to bed and call it a bug when it is not.
Too funny.
Dodge parry, no rage however parry will reduce your next swing by 50 percent with a min increase of 1 second.
That gives a chance for you to get rage from a white hit faster. Or HS for more threat.
If your ability misses, is dodged or blocked you lose the rage used. However if you are parried, you maintain tbe rage and nothing is lost.
I will just sit here and wait for somebody to complain their companion cant battle and is a bug....

Berzerker Rage is also Bugged. I didn't think it prudent to make a whole new thread about it, since this one is here.
But I did some tests tonight in instances and soloing and it looks like Berzerker Rage doesn't provide any extra rage when active. It's till 1. 1. 1. 1. No matter what. Crits? 1. 1. 1. 1. Zerker Rage and Crit? 1.1.1.1. Both being crit and having zerker Rage active are supposed to be great mechanical abilities for a Warrior to use to generate rage. This and the critters also not allowing rage to be generated bugs would be great points of interest to fix soon for myself. I hope the devs can put some time towards fixing these bugs.
Thanks.
