Is it worth getting Quel'Serrar or not? If it is please tell me why.

If you're in a casual guild and you dont have to worry about threatcap then it's pretty useable. On stuff like vael you're gonna use a 1.30 dagger regardless though.

Pretty much what Vido said. It's a decent blade, although more usable in a 5man setting than in raids due to its slow speed. Personaly I only ever use it when survivability is more important and threat is not. With ZG around the corner there's the much better choice of Bloodlords Defender so the Foror's book will likely decrease in value.

Atleast its a very pretty blade.

QS is very good 90% of the time. However, if you are going for maximum threat with unlimited rage it's not that good. Keep a 1.3 for these occasions.

this is, and always will be, one of the BEST tanking weapons of the game, in vanilla. i pull threat on fights like vael with my 2.4 swing speed weap off of tanks with 1.3 swing speed. so while i know these numbers prove me wrong, i dont think it REALY effects as much as people say it does. 2.0 is that perfect sweet spot, fast enough to get a lot of HS in, but slow enough to give you big bursts of rage at the start of fights.

From what I can understand, QS is one of, if not the best, defensive weapon (in terms of 5mans and Molten Core, at least), but not the best threat weapon. You'll want a Thunderfury or a 1.3 dagger for the highest threat generation.

But as others pointed out, ZG is dropping within 2 months and has Bloodlord's Defender from Mandokir, so I'd rather just wait for that instead of blowing 300-400 gold on a QS.

Something is very wrong with the other tanks you play with if this is true.

not true. "ZOMG WEP SPEED = TPS " is whats wrong with most tanks. and these forums do nothing but perpetuate it.

Well, pulling threat on a fight like Vael as an OT with Quel'serrar from another tank using, say Alcor's Sunrazor, midfight before the said tank has died, should be impossible for a number of reasons.
