Hi, l have never reached 60during vanilla. I was wondering once I have reached level 60 as the warrior what are my steps for gearing and getting to the point where I can raid mc40.

I should add that I'm on the pve server

There are 5 sticky threads in the forum that will answer most of your questions, aswell as guide you to what ever gear you will need for fury or protection.

Hi thanks for reply. I've read the guides that tell me what gear to get for pre-raid bis. But if I'm a fresh 60, will I be able to jump right into those 5man dungeons w/out problems? should I start questing? Are there reps I need to be farming at 60?

Can you possibly link some of these threads that gives a layout on what a fresh 60 should be doing to properly prepare yourself for raiding

You can tank (almost) any 5man as any spec in (almost) any gear as long as you use 1h and shield. The difficulty does vary, also depending on your group composition and how good your healer is. I wouldnt recommend going Diremaul North or UBRS in full green gear as a tank.

An important question. Do you plan to raid as protection or fury? What ever the case, these threads will guide you with talents, gear choices and play-style:

You should do BRD first, there's a few great pieces in there, and the dungeon isn't 60, it's 52-58.

DM East as well, there's some goodies in there, and it's also a 53-58 dungeon.

DM North is the biggest challenge. The last boss hits like enraged chromaggus and nefarian class call combined. You're gonna get utterly rekt in greens even with the best healer on the server, unless you got 3 raid geared dps to zerg it down.

Cool one last question. Should I do all the key/attument questlines before I go ham w/ the dungeon grinding?

Why not both at the same time? You can easily offtank in like MC or Ony pugs even without full pre-raid bis so having attunements done even before you got all 5man loot could be nice.

Ya, do the ony and MC attune while you run BRD for gear. Once you have most of the tanking gear from BRD you should have no problem running scholo, strat, DM E and LBRS.

Once you have some pieces from those then DM W, UBRS and DM N should be no problem.

There are some really good best in slot pre-raid items on the auction house as well. Getting those ASAP will make the dungeon grind way easier.

Remember to use abilities like disarm, demo shout and thunderclap when you have crappy gear, it helps a lot.
