Crusader vs. 15 Agility

Crusader vs. 15 Agility

by Problazer » Fri Oct 30, 2015 5:57 pm

I will be getting my Quel'Serrar this weekend and currently use Finkle's Skinner. My guild starts BWL next week and I am our primary offtank.

I know most main tanks prefer agility but I was wondering if I should consider Crusader to help build rage as an offtank.

I have also read some people talking about Crusader making sense depending on weapon speed. I thought Crusader proc was proc per minute, why would weapon speed matter?

Finally, I know that I should be using Finkle's when at max rage, are there any other situations I should be ready to swap weapons? I have read about people swaping to Foror's on Nef to be closer to Def cap. I also have an Ardent Custodian I can equip to be at 441 Defense. What weapons should I plan on using durring progression in BWL?

Go with 15 agility on finkles. Quel, if you are the OT, the two bwl fights you use quel for are non tauntable so only your MT needs to make this decision of agil or crusader.

Get crusader for the 200AP, should increase your white hits on broodlord by 40, putting you in the next bracet of rage per hit, so you get an extra rage per hit. When he swaps to you, swap back to finkels. DONT FORGET.

You will appreciate crusader in 5 mans and when farming as finkels should be for aoe pulls only 5 man.

Also while farming, go spend 50g and get Heroism dark moon card. It procs a lot and paired with crusader can keep a proc warrior at 100% hp.

Personaly as a MT I run this setup:

TPS: Alcors with Lifestealing (higher TPS value than Crusader, by alot).

Defensive: Quel'Serrar with 15agi (Used Crusader before but meh, I only use this for survival when TPS doesnt matter so Crusader doesnt add much).

5man: Ironfoe also with lifestealing. I did 1k hits with Crusader and got a PPM of about 0.9 giving me an average AP of about 45 which translates into 3,214285714285714 DPS (and TPS).

It really don't matter tbh, either one is fine. .75 dodge isn't going to make or break you, nor will 100 strength on occasion. Personally, I like crusader on Quel, slightly better for building rage. As an off-tank you only need a fast weapon on Vael. The correct rotation and proper rage management are far more important than enchants though.

Good luck in BWL.

How does this lifestealing thing work, never heard of anyone mention it being a TPS enchant.

Roughly 30-40% proc chance (not determined by ppm like crusader is), 30 dmg (threat) and 30 healing (15 threat).

((45x0,3)/1,3)=10,384 tps value at 30% proc rate on 1,3 speed dagger.

As alli tps is not as important to.me as it is for Sor, so I go with 15 agil for the 0.75% extra dodge and crit.

Agreed. As alliance you should probably go 15agi no matter what because of Salvation.
