Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I started a new Warrior toon, since I realized I really enjoy the play style and lore of Warriors. Now, I play this game for the sole reason of PvP, and leveling. I have no intention of raiding or even dungeoning at 60. That being said, I also only like 1v1 PvP or wPvP. I know that people say Warrior is only good with healer... only good in a team... blah blah blah. I don't want to believe it! I took engineering, since this is an alt I can fund it to 300. I feel that there maybe a different spec that can be good 1v1 or at least some hard to do tricks or timings that can make warriors good at 1v1. Here I have a talent set that you guys can analyze and see if it is good. I am only level 20 soI don't know how end game PvP is going to be, so if anyone can enlighten me on how match-ups work (mainly vs mage Lock hunter) then please help!

Again, these are just theories and guesses for 1v1, I do not know how high end Warrior PvP is.

1v1 against a warlock you have no chance. It's rock vs scissors here and unless you chain crit for 2k+ you're not gonna kill a tryhard warlock.

Against a hunter you have to reflect his trap, or taunt his pet. Taunting doesn't work sometimes since hunter pets bug out pretty often and you can't use any abilities on them. Any decent hunter will park his pet far away however so you gotta rely on a scorpok surprise + reflector/skull. If the hunter uses a free action pot you have to blow one too otherwise if you don't have disarm/trinket for the wingclip you're dead.

Rogues are gonna rape you just as easily as a warlock can, if he blinds your stuns and breaks your fear you have no chance. If he has blind on CD you can intercept > disarm, and if you get some range and spam charge fast enough you can charge > intercept and you'll win most of the time if the rogue allows for that situation to happen.

Against a mage you need a trinket or a reflector for his nova and preferably a net for his blink. If you get faked you have to nade > fear to prevent a polymorph. He's gonna block and nova you again so you need a lot of hp and d stance for this match up if you don't reflect it. All it takes is a sheep though for him to kill you and with a few good crits he can burst you down faster than you can burst him

Paladins can be killed through lay on hands and divine shield, you just have to kite them outside of charge/intercept stuns.

Druids are generally easy targets and shaman is a pretty even matchup so I can't comment too much on that.

Basically against 90% of the population you're at a disadvantage, warrior isn't a good 1v1 class.

Maybe against a warlock, you can charge and try to instagib his demon? usually a succubus right. Then after thats gone you can go onto the warlock, since he cant fear you at all right? I'm not sure how berserker rage works. Also, you can probably fear him too. So, charge and concussion the succubus, fear warlock at same time. Kill succubus, then go after the warlock. I'm horde so I wont face OP undead hah. Against rogue you can spam shield block and revenge, play defensively. When you think hes gonna stun you with kidney shot, you can Concussion shot for 5 second stun and apply a rend or something so he cant vanish/blind and stealth. Against mage reflector works nicely, and the 5 second stun after blink would be great too.

If it's a succubus or voidwalker warlocks have no chance if you resto pot. A succubus in particular is a joke since you can fear it or pummel. A well geared SL lock with void can be tough to beat it's doable atleast if you got some gold to burn. There's no way you'll zerg a pet down while the lock is feared unless you recklessness.

You will never spec concussive blow, without BT or especially MS you're useless as a warrior. Beating someone 1v1 who doesn't have engineering or spam pots is simple if you pop a free action or something, you can also 2v1 a lot of people who aren't geared this way.

A lock will kite you with CoE, death coil before you get close enough to fear and dispell your faps/resto pots. If you manage to land a >40y nade you have to survive through the invuln pot then you have to chain crits and get death coil or shadow burn reflect to survive longer than 3s.

You'll probably need to carry some of these if you mainly want to pvp, especially 1v1
