I really want to do PvP and arms allows me to be more useful there with MS and SS, but I also want to be able to be able to get into raids.

Is arms actually as bad as everyone says or would people not care if it's not hardcore raiding?

Thank you for any answers in advance.

It isnt terrible. However, MS debuff will occupy a debuff slot on boss meaning no serious raid-leader would allow an Arms warrior in raid. It gimps raid DPS as a whole.

I'm quite sure that it only overwrites the debuff slot that deepwounds occupies. Anyway, playing arms is quite nice cause you get nice slow swings and you can chain slams together to easily burn rage. Single target, I'd say it's <10% worse than fury. If you get a load of rage however, rather than getting capped and spamming HS, it's much easier to burn it efficiently through slam being arms specced so I think that in a lot of situations it can keep up with 2h fury.

Tested in raid yesterday. I died and lost world buffs, (doing 2.6k dps with adds up didn't end well after my invuln pot faded). Rage generation is so terrible without world buffs making it far worse than 2h fury.

The spec has insane potential in MC but you need tanks taunting before invuln pot comes off, along with a pre shield etc.
