Can I get a raid spot as an Arms Warrior?

In a starting guild sure, especially if you pick up a BRE, However do not count on staying arms for very long at all.

Comments about the Shadow priest. A good shadow priest is much much better (shadow buff to locks) and useful over an Arms warrior.

Thanks for the feedback. He didn't claim that spriests had no role, just that there was only room for 1 if it was taken at all, while a raid could have multiple arms warriors (which surprised me).

You can do well in molten core arms specced horde side. In BWL it's amazing for nef p1 but you're in for a tough time on the pure single target encounters and you're potentially using up a debuff slot as well though I'm not sure how high it is on priority.

It's a mid priority so you would be knocking off better mid prio buffs over and over.

It is a really bad way to go. You should only be raiding arms if you are doing the PVP grind for fury raid loot, and can't afford to respec over and over. You simply get carried, which in AQ+ you don't have room for.

If you like arms, when your guild is progressing, go fury until things are on farm, then you might be good to hang out in arms til next content release after you got your gear. IMO you shouldn't get invite prio if another equally geared fury is available.

That was a guildie who said I could raid as arms.

I'm leveling arms because I find it enjoyable. As for leveling guides, I believe the frequent advice is 2H fury to Arms at 40. But I'd rather not get into it here.

i misread what you wrote, but 2h fury is better than arms after 40 also.

i mean, you can get INTO a raid as arms, but you wont perform as well as your fury/2h fury counterparts. tho if you want to go 31/3/17 for arms/prot, to be an offtank, they might be happier about that.

Interesting, 31/3/17 was pretty close to my leveling plan / futzing around at 60. Seemed like it had enough to PvP & DPS/Tank 5 mans. If it could also perform in a raid environment, that'd be amazing.
