You all know the mace, but not everyone knows enough about it to use it well.

One such person is myself.

I recently got it, enchanted it, married and impregnated it. Simply because I love it so much and I use it with a flurry axe (hoping to get felstriker in the future).

But today I got 2 Deathbringers and I encountered a dilemma. What would give me maximum DPS?

(Keep in mind Ironfoe has 2.4 speed, Deathbringer has 2.9 and Flurry axe has 1.5 attack speed.)

Ironfoe+Flurry axe
Ironfoe+Deathbringer
Deathbringer+Deathbringer

After sword spec and windfury totem was fixed, I think it's safe to assume that the Ironfoe proc is working pretty well now.
Extra swing procs scale insanely with world buffs. If you manage to stack a few and with decent enough gear it's potentially better than HWL weps and on par with KT weapons/TF with something like rend buff. That's assuming that the procrate is 10% and that it also procs from specials like Hamstring, HS, Cleave and autos.

The only thing that makes Deathbringer good is its high DPS/Top dmg/slow speed. The proc is very weak, can be resisted (unlike viskags) and the over-all proc rate is low.

Ironfoe does indeed proc on hamstring, HS, cleave and autos and the proc-rate is 10%. I have tested this myself. Ironfoe is likely the best 1h available for furies well into AQ, probably about equal to CTS/Crul/BWL/GM weapons.

Yes it is. Weapon speed on OH is irrelevant past pre-raid. All that matters for OH is damage and stats. The idea that a fast OH will be better at feeding you rage doesnt really hold up in a raid. Besides, your Ironfoe will be feeding you TONS of rage from its proc.

and i wouldnt get too excited about felstriker. i have that exact combo and its only meh. youre better off with deathbringer.

I would never use deathbringer in offhand, it has zero stats and slow as hell. Offhands should basically be stat sticks, especially when using ironfoe.

So would you say that IF/FS is equal good to like HWL1HAXE/FS for an orc with edgemasters? Or even better? if you build after that setup...? ( specially under the time you have Wbuffs )

Felstriker is a different story since the procrate isn't very good. If you're an orc you should offhand it with a crul > HWL axe > doom's edge, otherwise you would use something like a CHT or hwl dagger/sword.

The ironfoe proc scales insanely with buffs so while it might not be better than a DB in a 5 man, in a raid situation it's potentially on par with HWL weapons. I've never had one in-game on this server though, so I wouldn't go crazy and run BRD 300 times until I saw some parses of a fury warrior using one.

Alright man, cuz i Really want that IF, even doh i have HWL axe to use in main/ edgemasters gloves. ive heard its SUPER as you are saying while we got WBUFFS. i dont know if its exakly parr with HWLaxe/IF or if MAYBE only maybe slightly better?, im thinking - Ironfoe / Felstriker oR edge. while we got Wbuffs. and otherwice rank14 axe main and fel/edge, ?
