I just picked up Ironfoe last night and I'm excited to try out a Mace spec. I ended up going 18/32/0 which I'm hoping will work for raiding and also be decent enough in PvP.

What do you guys think? The fact that you get weapon expertise means that you can put those talents into another area. I went ahead and got imp kick as well as imp sprint and evasion which I feel is going to be great for PvP.

Do you think this build will work fine for PvE as well as PvP?

Just because of the Sword proc? Otherwise the spec is pretty much the same just swapping the sword mastery for mace mstery.

Tell me the ppm/(or proc chance) present here on Ironfoe and I can easily compare it to sword spec with similar weapons (dal'rends for example).

Are you sure about imp backstab pre-BWL and without Perditions?

Still wtb hardcore empirical research about miss + dodge chance on bosses, 27 vs 24.6% and 6.5% vs 5.6%

I don't have great data on the proc change of Ironfoe because it changes depending on the server. On retail vanilla it was 18%. It's definitely more than 10% here but less than 20% so 18% sounds about right or if you wanna be safe you can put it at 15%.

The specs you listed both take imp backstab? The spec I posted is pretty similar just switching around a few of the cooldown talents.

If yellow hits proc ironfoe as they should, the weapon adds about 36,1108dps before armor mitigations are applied - in comparison to the dal'rend set. This is in preraid bis and the dal'rend OH still being used despite it not being bis with Ironfoe. The specs I listed include imp backstab as it is good to have when progressing and/or doing blackwing lair, especially looking at Vael.

In comparison you will gain about 70 dps going from bis BWL, MC, ZG only into the gear available in AQ40.

Are you saying that Ironfoe's proc adds roughly 36 dps over dal'rends set?

Speccing into Sword Spec adds about 25 dps.

So if your math is correct than Ironfoe should out DPS the dal'rends set?
