Human because perception and weapon skill if you are into pve tryhard, gnome for escape artist and not much else, small size shouldnt matter unless you're fighting some bum who cant start attack macro.

mhm, well the +5 swords/maces weaponskill doesnt apply to all gearlevels. There are certain gear levels (and at certain occassions before that, ie: Horde, with HWL weapons before AQ, makes dagger better) one of the most noteably ones is seal fate, end AQ / Start naxx gear. (breaks once you have enough crit)

Honestly for rogues PVP wise I would probably go with gnomes simply because you can stack escape artist with improve sprint. Thats a double anti root when fighting against pesky frost mages.

Engineering pets are also level 63 instead of 60. (+15)

Night Elf:
-Shadowmeld: Simply having this improves your natural stealth, giving you a better stealth level than any other player. Basically, you have a MoD point for free, going beyond 5/5, or allowing you to hold back a point and letting the racial compensate for it. But with 5/5 MoD, your stealth will be better than everyone else's, as you have this extra bonus they cannot acquire. Elf has the best stealth.

I didn't know this. So Night elves has a naturally stronger stealth, than any other race? If that is the case, Nelf is the way to go, in terms of PvP ofc.

Swords ends up outpacing daggers after BWL because of the positional requirement on fights like cthun Thaddeus gothik noth. I know many rogues who regret not rolling the right race or going the right weapon spec, but you'll be able to push damage regardless of your race or spec as long as you don't fall into a defeatist attitude.
