working up my baby rogue alt, never really played one, was curious as to what other rogue types binds are looking like? dosent have to be a screen just wondering at max what abilities others find to be highest priority for their closest binds ect. I try and keep my binds 1-5,q-t,a-g with shift or alt modifiers if needed but tbh I find shift modifying feels kinda awkward and try and keep that limited to bs like mount, hearth. Was briefly going through abilities seems like there is a lot one would need on demand. Also any particular abilities that stack well with modifiers?

A great way to get more keybinds is to shift ASDW to SDFE. It feels weird at first, but I actually like it way more because you can instantly find F because of the little nub on the keyboard. Also, your fingers are more towards the middle of the numbers on top, so you can more easily access #s 5-7.
Another idea is to use the bongos (or whatever action bar addon you want) to make a setup in the same configuration as the keyboard/keypad you are using. For instance, my friend has Razer Naga mouse and recently setup the action bars in a 6x3 grid to mimic the number setup on his mouse. It makes it wayyy easier to remember what keys are bound to what actions.

I have everything binded
I use 1-5, q,e,r,f,c,s mousewheel up, down or press, and space with modiefiers on my mouse shift alt and ctrl
All keys are usable without loosing movement for me and with the modifiers on my mouse i do have roughly 60 binds which is more then enough for vanilla atm
I could get more keys but atm sufficient
Getting used to them is the hard part but once muscle memory kicks in its a breeze:-)

Yeah i use q-y except w is still forward. 1-7, a-h, z-n. f1-7, caps,`, 1-2 on my naga r my strafe. then i use 3-9 on my naga and ignore 9-12. i used alt + shift + cntrl modifiers for most of those. needless to say i have everything that could possibly bound with a keybind binded. playing a hunter in cata has made me a keybind hero.

I have those keys mapped out, I have my rogues 6 buttons wide for neatness and my hand is large so i can press all of those keys without trying.
I have use all of those keys with CTRL and/or SHIFT modifiers so that in reality i have 36 different buttons available with one hand.
One thing I have always maintained is that Q has been bound to kick for as long as i can remember.

I'll second the razer naga - best rogue investment ever! With it, I did not need to shift from wasd to esdf, I left it all the same and used shift/ctrl modifiers for the mouse. You absolutely have to use the mouse during combat with a rogue because you want to be able to strafe and turn quickly to keep behind your enemy.
Funny story: I started playing WoW because of my bro-in-law, he showed me the game and got me hooked, but as I started playing, I started binding all my skills to all the buttons around wasd to be able to continue using the mouse, until my bro-in-law with his infinite wisdom asked "What are you doing???"
"Playing..."
"You got your buttons all wrong"
*Rebound all my keys back to the numbers, told me to put my left hand on "wasd" and right hand on "1234" above it and play like that in the most god-awful, uncomfortable set up, but him being the more "seasoned" player, I figured he knew something I didn't.
So... until LEVEL 60 I played with my rogue being able to turn only as fast as the keyboard turn allowed, it's not until I met another player irl who played rogues that told me I had it right the first time XD
Oh, and by the way, I've changed my stuff around, but one thing that always stayed in place was "middle mouse" for stealth and "shift+middle mouse" for mount. It's really comfortable if you bind the middle mouse to that special action button instead of moving the actual skill onto one of the action bars.
