Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I've had a problem I've experienced on quite a few occasions.

It happens with gouge, kidney shot, or any CC really. I use one of those at the exact same time as another player casts a spell. They are then sitting in gouge and still casting the spell and can complete casting it while in the CC.

Has anyone else experienced this? It is really frustrating when it happens and a pretty big deal.

I've only noticed spells close to completion sometimes get through and that's because latency and similar serverlag properties. Keep in mind that server is always ahead of the client with it's calculations.

A very dumbed-down example, let's say you have 60ms ping:
-caster starts casting, a call is sent to the server
-server starts calculating
-server send visual information about the cast in progress to your client (60ms delay here)
-you react and activate an ability (another 60ms delay)

That's a whopping 120ms delay that the server's calculations are ahead of you.
