Energywatch Help

I started a rogue for the first time and have now been chillin around getting a grip on the simplest mechanics and trix for rogues but there is still one thing I don't understand.
How do I use the energywatch?
I've read that I should use it to time my yellow attacks but I dont really understand I'm afraid...
SO! If some experienced Rogue ex. Rogue here could give me a quick lesson in how to optimize the usage of this VITAL (according to every1 else it seems...) addon for a rogue!
