The lost knowledge

When I was a wet-behind-the-ears Rogue in 2003-6, there was an absolute treasure trove of Rogue PvP info, guides, mechanics, etc. Most of these appeared in the retail forums, but not all. It truly saddens me to grasp the fragile and transitory nature of the internet. I tried the Wayback Machine but it only goes to 2010. There was always some eye-opening new info to those who thought they knew the class inside and out. These days, kids are straight up weaned on MMO mechanics, but I'm from another generation. I learn from others, then learn by doing. Any thoughts on where this ancient wisdom might still be unearthed? Pretty good stuff right here in this forum, but by no means comprehensive.

I used to research my classes regularly on down time, rather than play WoW.
I found archived elitist jerks rogue class pages to be filled with quite interesting information. You can also use Archive to get to 2006 Blizzard forums, very few links are functional, but you can find something worth reading.
Knowledge isn't lost, its just harder to find.

Feel free to message me in-game, Horde side, same name as my forum name.
I was around in the Vanilla days, and used to do a lot of "theorycrafting" on the Rogue forums. If you remember who Ming was, he was originally on my server (Lightning's Blade) and I would talk through a lot of strategy with him.
Since I used to spend way too much time playing this game and doing "experimental" PvP, I might be able to answer some of your questions.
