Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

When you vanish you automatically get thrown into stealth.
Do the stealth levels stack? Is stealth or vanish more powerful on their own?

Is there any way to not automatically stealth, or a macro to automatically remove stealth after vanishing?

I want to use vanish without any movement speed penalty from stealth like the half second it currently takes me to remove stealth manually.

Vanish is way more powerful than Stealth in terms of stealth quality, it's the whole point.

With the Vanish buff, you're safe against an enemy with many more level than your own, even an Human with Paranoia / Perception can't see through it, unless they are many level above you.


There is no macro to use vanish without gaining stealth.

There is certainly a macro to use vanish and instantly cancel stealth tho.
However, it's a bug, removing Stealth should always remove vanish too.
Removing Stealth without vanish is kinda uber cause you're 100% invisible and 100% walk speed and shit.

It's worth noting that doing a macro to take advantage of this bug on purpose might be seen as an exploit by the staff and lead to a ban.

Removing Vanish doesn't removes Stealth tho, and it's working as intended.

However, it's a bug, removing Stealth should always remove vanish too.

At first I thought this was a bug; but actually, it appears this was how it always functioned in Vanilla. The caveat is you are not able to use any abilities that require Stealth, such as Cheap Shot or Ambush, because you no longer have the Stealth buff.

I actually have a clip of me Vanishing and having to manually drop Stealth from Vanilla, if you'd like to see it.

You're indeed right, but it worked like this until 1.11.
But it wasn't intended, and it shouldn't work like this on Nostalrius, since we're supposed to be in 1.12 regarding spells & mechnics .

Patch 1.11.0 (20-Jun-2006): Canceling your Stealth aura while Vanish is running will now cause Vanish to be canceled as well.
