Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

i'm currently playing a combat rogue with the suggested pve spec and was wondering how to not getting killed by the other faction. I'm currently lvl 40 and i cant seem to defend myself in any way when i'm being attacked. Is this just because combat rogue isnt really suitable for pvp or am I missing something. It's mostly ranged classes that i can't even seem to get close to.

Combat rogue is not at all suitable for pvp, especially when dealing with ranged classes. you will have to bear through as i would not advise to use another build for leveling or even engage in pvp before 60.

Oh come on man! You've got vanish, sprint, evasion, blind, crippling poison, sap, gouge... At least it is not hard to run.
If you're trying to kill ppl with sinister strike/evis, just like mobs, you will fail. You should use a completely different and more complicated tactics. Try to watch vanilla rogues pvp vids.
