Which one to choose and why

Alliance - 1) Dwarf - Stoneform can help in many PvE encounters and removes Blind(PvP insignia cannot break it), Crippling Poison, Viper Sting and Devouring Plague in PvP, +5 gunskill might be useful in PvE too) 2)Night elf's racials are pretty weak (+1% dodge and shadowmeld are joke).
Horde - 1) Troll - Berserk is a good dps boost, both for PvP and PvE, +5 bowskill is great for PvE (especially with an epic bow like Rhok'Delar), +5% dmg vs beasts and little health regeneration will be a little nice bonus too.
2) Tauren - Stun is useful in PvP, but totally useless in PvE, bonus HP is nice, but it's not enough to compete with trolls.
3) Orcs - The worst choice, blood rage gives melee AP ONLY, which means it's totally useless for hunters. +5% damage with pets (total joke) and stun resist (your PvP trinket can break stuns) = not enough to compete with trolls.

you play troll yourself?

shadowmeld and passive stun resist are the best racial skills offered. that's why night elf hunters are best for flag def in ab for example and for world pvp, nothing can beat that moment of surprise. have you ever seen double charge/intercept stun resist by an orc? well, that's op.

if you are not involved with pvp, choose whatever you like on alliance (bis range weapon is xbow) and troll on horde.

Troll racial was somewhat broken when I last played, not sure if it's been fixed.

If I played Alliance I'd always go NE. Shadowmeld is the shit for soloing dungeons and being able to afk in the world without getting ganked.
