Two quick questions

Can FD be used to cancel an enemy cast? Like if I FD'd in the middle of their cast, would it cancel because I'm appearing as dead to them? For some reason I'm getting the feeling that it works like that.

Also, does standing in the middle of a flare protect you from rogue stealth openers? Seeing as all of their stealth abilities are melee range, and the flare tooltip says it has a 10 yard radius. Or is the server lag/delay strong enough to let them get in range without getting unstealthed by the flare?

Yes, flare unstealths them. My guess is that any lag would bring a bigger disadvantage to the melee class in pvp anyway.
