Another question - Frost Trap + Viper Sting

Is it possible to drain a target's mana with Viper Sting while they're in a Freezing Trap? Or will Viper Sting break the trap effect?

Since shamans seem to be able to purge free action potions, I figured that'd be a really easy way to stop them: freeze them then Viper Sting all their mana away.

Viper will break trap.

It breaks trap. Has been so since wow came out day one.
