Lupos and shadow DMG

Hey fellow hunters!

I got Lupos as pet and he for sure deals shadow DMG, but it still seems like he's doing way less DMG on mobs with higher armor.
Can anybody confirm this?

That's a very old bug on Nostalrius.
-Shadow damage reduced by armor and resistances.
-Lupos consumes improved shadow bolt stacks without damage increase.
-Lupos does not receive damage bonuses from CoSh, and Shadow Vulnerability
-Lupos does not receive damage bonus from shadow school vulnerability in BWL encounters.
All these bugs make Lupos an awful pet choice at this server.

Even if the pet worked it's a raid DPS loss correct?
25-50 on a pet attack vs 200-400+ on a shadow bolt....
There aren't enough of the shadow bolt debuff for a single wolf to chew away 1 per second.

20\31\0 Build for max pet damage.
120 - 160 damage unbuffed with that build.
Add TrueshotAura, Bleesing of Might (if you play alliance char) + Battle Shout + Juju = around ~160 - 215 damage since MM always has melee party.
+30% damage from Improved Shadow Bolt stacks 195 -280 damage
CoSh - +8% damage 210 - 302 damage
and +15% extra chance to critical strike.
That's the way how this wolf should do damage.
And no, Lupos has only 2.0 attack speed, so he can't steal all the stacks from warlocks. (Only if all the hunters have him in your raid)

First off IMP SB is 20, not 30%. Also I was factoring in more than 1 pet in raid.
There will not be enough IMP SB with the amount of warlocks in current raids to go around so you chose for your raid 35 vs 250 damage each time your pet takes one.
And when a warlock crits with the debuff live it adds way more than a hunter so why even consider including that to reasoning.

Please remember that your raid must have many warlocks. So Lupos can steal all the stacks only if the all warlocks in your raid won't critically hit with Shadow Bolt for 8 seconds (theorycraft). Is this situation possible for 1 Lupos in raid with ~5 warlocks?
