valid pvp spec?

valid pvp spec?

by riq and snog » Thu Mar 05, 2015 1:20 am

This is what i came up with

http://www.wowprovider.com/?talent=1121 ... 051030512t

Now the thinking behind it.
BM part
1 I basicly use aspect of the hawk only for aimed shots and run with monkey up cuz rogues so thats why i choose pet health
2 monkey all the way:-P vs ferals hunters palas warris rogues enhanc shamans warlock pets... well you get the idea
3 Petdmg nobrainer
4 pet crit
5 intimidation, spirit bond,
6 mend pet i think is rly op spam rank 1 for getting pet out of sheep fear nova sleep thorns etc etc... is like a gimp bestial wrath when u think about it:-P
7 3/5 frenzy... i think with a 1.00 atspeed pet 60% is good enough and those 2 points give 10% multishot dmg

MM
improved concussive, hands down the rng rage from my enemy is enough for me to skill it:-)
+ can get off an aimedshot:-)

rest off mm tree is basicly gettin most dmg and range out of your shots
+ scatter and improved multi 2/3

basicly for me this is the best controll spec with wich i should be able to solo and hold my ground and also support my teammates;-)

Combine with engineering and alchemy and i think i can annoy ppl pretty well:-)

What do you guys think?

1. Spirit Bond only helps on longer fights, these rarely happen.
2. I see your point with Imp Mend Pet, but Bestial Wrath is far superior.
3. Imp pet health hardly makes a difference since people shouldn't focus your pet.
3. If you go so deep into Beast Mastery, why not take bestial wrath to make pet immune to CC?
4. Scatter Shot is nice but it's too deep in the Marksmanship tree.
5. You can't avoid going melee once in a while, so I feel Deterrence is a must.
6. For supporting you could skill more into Efficiency to spam Viper Sting.
7. Savage Strikes with a high damage 2h weapon give a nice burst in melee.

This could be an example talent tree for a BM oriented pvp hunter. (I didn't think much about it, but that's probably something I'd use if I wanted to pvp a lot with weaker gear.)

If your gear is better you might want to go MM instead of BM, doing something like this.
You can also go deeper into survival and take %health talent/surefooted/coutnerattack

In the end, your best bet is pvping a lot firstst and then adjusting talents to what suits your playstyle.

What are you planning on doing in PvP?

If you plan on doing BG's, you should almost definitely get entrapment. The frost trap 25% chance to entrap is per tick, not just on triggering. Almost every PvP spec should go down survival, if only for entrapment. it is that good in team oriented fights.

Further, BM falls behind very fast. It doesn't scale with gear as pets don't scale. In my opinion, may as well get used to MM or Survival now.

for serious pvp u need to spec mm/surv, up to trueshot aura and entrapment

bm is not viable, as long as i remember
