pets special abilities

hey mates,

i got a little problem with my darkshore ghost saber...a friend of mine told me, that this pet is able to learn "stealth". If i ask google at which lvl this is possible it says lvl 20 (pet lvl is 26 now).
how do i learn these special/exotic abilities? Because at the pet trainer there is non

You need to tame a pet which has the ability, then you use the pet until you learned the ability yourself (RNG !!). Then you train it to your current pet.

Specifically, you want to tame a pet that has Prowl skill. The following pets have Prowl rank 1:

Shadowmaw Panther (37-38, Stranglethorn Vale)
Shadow Panther (39-40, Swamp of Sorrows)
Mountain Lion (32-33, Alterac Mountains)
Ridge Stalker (36-37, Badlands)

So I recommend going to Alterac Mountains once you hit your thirties. For Prowl, you don't even need combat, just make the lion keep it on and walk around with it until you learn it.

Rank 2 is from the following beasts:

Elder Shadowmaw Panther (42-43, Stranglethorn Vale)
Ridge Stalker Patriarch (40-41, Badlands)

and Rank 3 is from the following:

Jaguero Stalker (50, Stranglethorn Vale)
Frostsaber Stalker (59-60, Winterspring)

Why should you bother with Rank 2 and Rank 3?

Because the speed malus is reduced and the damage bonus is increased. Rank 1 slows your pet down by 50% and gives +20% to damage where as Rank 3 slows down by 40% and gives +50% damage bonus.
