how would i build a hunter for pvp

should I build around 31/20 BM/MM or play MM/surv ?

31/20 BM/MM for 1vs1 and when u get stunned and have the pet rape or MM/surv where you have survivability

That's completely up to you but you're going to miss out on improved wing clip, scatter shot, crit, an immobilize and possibly the extra 5-10 seconds on freezing trap if you choose that. Plus, if your pet is cc'd or dead, you're pretty much useless.

BM is good if you're pugging, since little can survive their damage w/pet @ base 60 w/o that epic gear. Especially if you have Broken Tooth.

But if you're premading + have better gear, MM/Surv will be much more power and of benefit to you + group.

also another question

is the 3 point MM range talent mandatory? because atm it feels like shit, for some reason everyone is still able to get casts off as long as they started casting even when im 45ish yards away, mobs and players alike unless I LoS or get the conc shot proc stun in otherwise it seems like a POS talent. Maybe good for some encounters where bosses cast some 30yd spells but in pvp it feels shit

try to play without those extra 6y, you will see why you want it, why you'll love it. If you won't see a difference you picked a wrong class to begin with.
