Hunter Bug Compilation (Constructive)

Issue: with 1 point in talent Pathfinding the tooltip from "Aspect of the Cheetah" and the buff is showing 33% movement speed, with 2 points in the talent it is showing up as 30%. So either tooltip is only broken or also the movement speed.

References/Evidence: needs to be tested (race between 2 hunters, 1 point - 33% vs 2 points - 36%)

Yeah i noticed that too hiphonix, i would need to have someone without pathfinding put me on follow. I'm not even sure if 1.12 had retroactive tooltips that displayed increases from talents/sets all of the time.

Edit: I will test this one next given opportunity by putting a hunter without pathfinding on follow and vice-versa.

Really? That's pretty big pvp dampener. Wish I could test some of these abilities without having to respec.. =p will update counterattack soon if you have tested it multiple times.

Tested on grey mobs in a Deadmines run for friends. Still kept moving around.

Landed it on a warrior in Winterspring. Still kept moving around.

Theres a chance the warrior used a free action potion. I'll try and provide screenshots the next time I respec but I've already switched out of the spec.

Ashkandar wrote:[Pet Mechanic] - Innate Resists/Chase Speed

Issue: Currently, pets do not come with variant innate resists or chase speed. Examples: Takk the Leaper had a speed that could keep up with epic mounts. Snarler came with +100 all resistances when tamed.

** SPECIAL NOTE ** So, whether or not this is working as intended or not is very difficult to determine for one big reason. We all know that this servers core resides somewhere between 1.04 and 1.12, and that it is technically a mix of all patches between that period. For this particular case, we need to know where the Devs place pets on this timeline. Currently, pet values are in line with a 1.12 core, as everything but attack speed has been "normalized". However, loot itemization on the server suggests that we are in 1.04, and at that time pets had variant run speeds and base resists.

Going by that logic, pets should not have innate resists as those were removed in 1.3.0 on retail.

It's not possible to issue an attack command on a hunter that's feigning death
My name is nimpie. That's my mother's tacky sense of humor. I left home when I was 13 because my stepbrother raped me. So I ended up in a lot of different places and now I live in Boston, working as a stripper

Nice find, I guess that answers that question. Do you have a source that talks about the normalization of pursuit/chase speeds of pets like Takk/Bangalash?

I think the info you have provided should suffice, if you've tried it on both mobs and players. Now that I think of it, I think I recall a similar issue from another server. Let me know if you spec Counterattack again and get the same or conflicting results.

Thanks, guess I used the wrong way to calculate frenzy. I simplified it by reducing 30% flat, but I guess that's now how it works in the world of math ;p

"There used to be two other things we worried about when choosing a pet - attack speed and pursuit speed. Pursuit speed has been negated by the 1.8 patch, so if you care if your pet can catch something, all you should look at is the ability to learn Dive/Dash."
