Pet attack speed

I don't remember if it was the case in retail, but at Feenix the raptors from ZG have 0.90 attack speed.

What I do remember from retail vanilla is that there was a very popular cat (lion) from a quest in barrens. You could only spawn the cat with a quest item, so a lot of hunters contacted low levels in barrens, begging them to summon the cat for them :D. I don't know wether the pet was good or not. Seeing I will lvl a troll hunter as main char, I will tame it and report if it's any good.

You're talking about Echeyakee, which to my knowledge, didn't have anything special about it besides its model, and the fact it was a horde only spawn. It came with claw, prowl, rake, and cower when trained, rake being the only abnormal thing about it.

As for the ZG raptors and 0.9 attack speed, it should retain that speed, being the BC patch was to normalize all attack speeds. Being said, they dealt stupid amounts of damage, enough to overturn any cat dps, and worg AP shout. Deff must if this servers decides to retain the 0.9 speed.

Sorry, but that's not true, nor blizzlike.
Infact, fastest pets had 1.00 attack speed. There was no pet at 0.9.

I too had another source regarding speeds, but wasn't very sure if it was going to be considered "official". Seeing how the source you linked coincides with that of the dropbox info, I think it is safe to assume it be true.

Also regarding the raptor case, A few servers were flip flop about it. Some were 0.9, later changed, and some never talked about it. Seeing how some servers use tbc data in their coding, I thought perhaps the changes to 2.0 speed were the lazily unchanged tbc normalizations, where as the 0.9 was true.

Seeing now further info regarding, 2.0 sounds like it was the true nature.

Also noting your info is on the brink of the 2.0 patch. Had me worried.

pets' attack speeds are for the most part not blizzlike. They seem like defaul mangos ones to me, cuz i recognize some of them from feenix

for exemple, echeyake should have 2.0 , same for takk, etc..

Pets have been made classic here for anyone wondering. I got broken tooth yesterday and when frenzy goes off from BM talents his attack speed goes from 1.00 to 0.77.

One of the funnest things about vanilla hunters was finding unique pets with interesting quirks like this. There's also some pets out there with insanely high resists and Lupos whose basic attacks are supposed to register as shadow damage (which should mean they ignore armor values when he attacks someone.)

I have lupos, but there are a few problems.

His attack speed is 2.0, where it should be 1.42.

His damage is shadow, but is mitigated by armor (I think this is working as intended).

His damage can be mitigated by shadow resist, which i'm pretty sure is not intended.
