The best hunter race?

Hello,

About weapon skill affecting hit, it's a formula, based on what http://vanilla-wow.wikia.com/wiki/Hit says. Basically until +4 skill it gives .4 hit, and the last +1 skill gives 1.6, so trolls and dwarves get 3 hit ( basically a free hit scope, so they can put 7 damage on their weapon).
Now, about the damage numbers, it's been done here: http://forums.elitistjerks.com/topic/82 ... breakdown/ (you should login with facebook). It basically states what the best weapons are:
1. Kel'Thuzad xbow (599 dps)
2. Chromaggus xbow(571 dps)
3. Ouro Gun(558 dps).
So basically the +skill races wouldn't get much love in the end game, but I'd use the ouro gun as a dwarf against the xbow, just to be true to the race xD.

Sure FD & meld is nice but often they just deadzone you.

This is mostly how it goes, especially in BGs. Players get into deadzone fast with mounts.

But with some classes like warlocks I dont think this is always such a bad thing because you want to be close enough to scatter shot them. Well geared SL lock dots will eat you alive and you need opportunities to get them in a trap for the Aimed shot -> Autoshot -> Multi burst combo....Which shadowmeld makes for a great opener opportunity against someone with slow reaction timing. As a dwarf you're a sitting duck waiting to be deadzoned by...everyone.

I think meld gives more gameplay style diversity. It's sometimes fun to have the option of being concealed in stealth guarding flags in WSG or ambushing flag carriers in midfield out of nowhere...or protecting nodes in Basin from being capped, etc.

Stoneform just has less utility to a hunter than meld. We have enough extra procs to kite from survival talents. Good for dwarf rogues to get back to stealth though.
