His attack speed is 2.0, where it should be 1.42.

His damage is shadow, but is mitigated by armor (I think this is working as intended).

His damage can be mitigated by shadow resist, which i'm pretty sure is not intended.

I really believe you are mistaken.

From the archived TKAsomething link Lupos is a 2.0AttackSpeed pet.
Also, it should deal shadow-damage, so armor should NOT mitigate it.
Only Shadow-Resist should.

Maybe, but it was 1.42 when I tamed it, and in the last week it went up to 2.0.

I assure you the shadow damage is both being mitigated by armor and shadow resist unfortunately.

Well they changed the attack-speed to its "retail like" value. Consider it a bug-fix.
About armor mitigation, I believe Bite should be only mitigated by armor, while his "Attack" should be only mitigated by shadow-resist.
It might be working as intended....check it in the combatlog (or try to install something like EavesDrop).
You could report back to help out your fellow-hunters.

As you can see, Lupos hit for 86 factoring in the resist, which is lower than his minimum damage in the sheet. This proves that his damage is mitigated by armor. You can also see that 21 of his damage was "resisted".

Edit: I have tamed both Snarler and Searing Roc, and neither had resistances when tamed. I'm not sure what patch is being used for hunter pets right now, but it is clearly somewhere between 1.08 and 1.12. Hard to tell what's working as intended without a point of reference.

That mob might have some Shadow-Resistance (that's why you had a 21 mitigation).
Also, Lupos' damage might be "bugged", aka too-low damage.

About Snarler and Searing Roc with no reistances (snarler should have +100resist for all, while the roc should have a good amount of fire resist), that might be other bugs.

Quite sad seeing this, after we saw the "Rare Video".

Yeah as a BM hunter through and through, i'm having a tough time adjusting here. Most of the unique pets i've tamed have been weaker than intended, and there are a few big issues with pets including the Passive stance not auto-casting abilities.

Hi,
Passive pets autocast is fixed on the dev realm. Once the patch will be stable, we will apply it to nostalrius.

I use a macro to put my pet into defensive when I send it to attack, and passive when I ask it to follow me.
