Broken Tooth spawn time

Ok for those of you who don't know, you won't need to make the same mistake as I did when trying to figure out Broken Tooths spawn time. We can use the information that Eloah gave us and my own experience to get this figured out.

Spawn point: 60,30 - there is a tree on the side of the slope. He spawns just south of it about 10 yards up the slope.

Now I know that broken tooth has a 7hr 30 minute respawn time. Each time he respawns there are atleast 3-7 hunters waiting peacefully to tame him. So he almost always gets instantly tamed, so the respawn time will almost immediately reset.

When I was taming him he would spawn at 1 minute passed and 31 minutes passed the hour, (e.g. 12:01 and then 19:31) but that is using GMT, the in game server clock is about 4-5 minutes out iirc.

So if that is the case, judging by Eloahs post we can assume that on Monday 30th November, BT spawned at 01:31 am and was tamed.
We can use that time to figure out exactly when the next tame will be!

Monday 30th: 01:31, 09:01, 16:31
Tuesday 1st December: 00:01, 07:31, 15:00, 22:31
Wednesday 2nd December: 06:01, 13:31, 21:01
Thursday 3rd December: 04:31, 12:01, 19:31
Friday 4th December: 03:01, 10:31, 18:01,
Saturday 5th December: 01:31, 09:01, 16:31
Etc etc


Use these times to work out the spawn time for you.

All times are in GMT (Greenwich Mean Time)

My advice to hunters would be, go there on your own and log out at his spawn point. Log in 5-10 minutes before BT spawns, patiently and peacefully wait with all the other hunters and just spam your /tar /tame macro to get the initial tame.

If you try to defend the spawn for yourself or kill everyone that comes near, a Lvl 60 will just come a long and 1 shot kill BT so no one can tame him. The friends of the hunters can be quite salty that way... The peaceful tame race seems to be the most harmless way of getting it done. And with the times I provided will turn a 7hr spawn camp into a 5 minute attempt every 7.5hrs.

Good luck getting BT! He's an ugly bastard but he does naughty things to casters!

I was going to tame BT this evening and timed perfectly so I just had to camp a few minutes. Me and another hunter instantly burst out of shadowmeld and start taming. Thats fair, I was aware there would be some competition over him. But all of a sudden a third hunter pops out of shadowmeld, fires a bullet at him and starts taming. BT instantly shifts focus to him, and I just keep taming. When the spell is completed nothing happens, so I fire a bullet to get the focus back. BT starts running back to me and I start taming. In the end the third hunter actually get to tame BT even though he loses focus, kind of annoying. But whats __REALLY__ frustrating is that this third hunter was afk and had some sort of auto tame. He just stands still after the tame and does nothing. The inevitable happens, BT abandons him and is gone.

This goes out to all hunters that are interested in taming BT. Dont use an auto tamer if youre not gonna be there to actually keep him. Its lame.

Just to let you know, you don't "need" the focus of the animal to Tame him, or any pet.

It's kind of bugged. Somtimes you do the full tame and nothing happens, sometimes it randomly stops at 50% (happened twice to me). But that's the luck of the draw.

When I successfully tamed BT he was hitting some other dwarf in the face.

Shame about the auto tamer, but keep at it.

Broken Tooth tamed at approx 06:55 am Server time 18/12, with a 100% tame/kill ratio that should give a recently updated timer on him, Good luck fellow hunters! He spawned after 7 hours and 30 minutes on the spot!

Any word on BT's respawn time at this moment?

I just tamed Broken tooth at 10:16 am server time on December 21st. This was immediately following a server restart which I'm sure many of you can attest to.
