Hunter doubts

Hi there, I'm at the moment starting to level a hunter. It's my first time with this class.
However, I'm preoccupied wether this choice is wise, regarding hypothetical future spots in a raiding guild. What I am asking is if there is "market" for hunters in Nostalrius, specially in PvE end-game, or one needs to be really dedicated in order to have a chance.

I've raided in the past and I know what it takes (timewise), but I'd like to raid casually in a casual raiding guild (like one or two times a week) but I'm concerned that I have chosen a class that will have a harder time to find a raid spot.

My main inclination in this game is to be a tank, but I decided to put that aside as being a tank in a raidguild is very demanding (talking from experience).

Yeah for sure, hunters are a strong DPS choice that are raid-friendly.

Raids are 40-player, most just need able bodies. Just be aware hunters aren't that much in demand in 5-players for when you need to gear but I've always managed to pug eventually. Maybe look for a levelling guild so you can integrate with your class.

Also, never understood the 1 to 2 days raiding thing. This is what most guilds who push content do, we only raid once a week. With casual guilds you might find yourself doing the whole Wed/Thurs/Mon thing.

Good luck :)
