A question about the spell Charge (Rank 1)

Hello everyone,

While I was fighting some Troggs for a quest, I noticed the the message 'You have learned a new spell: Charge (Rank 1) appeared in the chat. Is this meant to happen?

My pet didn't level at the time and I'd already had the charge spell learnt. I'm just wondering why the message appeared at that time.

Pets come with ranked abilities, ie charge R1, dash R3, Claw R8 etc. If you want to teach those abilities to another pet (if it can learn it) you yourself have to learn it from your current pet first. It's possible you already knew Charge Rank 2 and you've now learned the Rank 1 ability.

I did play back in classic but as a Mage. I didn't pick up a Hunter until later.

Yes, in order to teach them to your future pets (if they are avaible to be "teached" with these abilities).
