Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I am a lvl 27 hunter, who have been using Echeyakee since lvl 16. I just tamed Mist Howler today. Is there a pet that is better then another one dps wise or attack speed wise?
Also how much does attack speed really matter for leveling? I know you want Broken Tooth for pvp, but what about leveling?

Perfect level to tame one of those stalker pets in thousand needles, they have 1.20 attack speed and are the best for leveling.

Pet attack speed shouldn't really matter for PvE, just their dps. However you will definitely not be able to avoid world pvp on this server if you're planning on questing, so a pet with fast attack speed is nice while leveling anyway. Afaik cats and raptors should have the highest dps, which I prefer over the tankiness of bears etc. I leveled with a Ghostpaw Alpha wolf with 1.3 attack speed from Ashenvale at 27 all the way to 60 and I'm currently using it in raids :^)

my cat is lvl 60 and is 1.5 atk speed !

if i remember well, i tame it in STV, those stealth panther lvl 40 approx

which one would you recommend since im 60 now and dont really want lvl another pet ?

You done goofed, mate. You had to pick up pets at lower levels to have the good ones. Only solution without leveling new pets is waiting for ZG and taming one of the raptors there. I'm using a 1.1 speed Ridge stalker patriarch (level 40 in badlands). The Best pet in game currently is the rare spawn Brokentooth (level 37 rare in badlands). But theres always 1-5 level60 hunters camping his spawn to tame him, so gl getting it while leveling.

I tought all "classic" cats have the same atk speed ...

So best solution for me without waiting 4 months for ZG is to take one of those in Badlands and level him ?
