Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Hey! I just hit 60, and yesterday tried doing and UBRS run. We get to Drak, and I start kiting him away, ran into Rends room, feigned death and the boss just reset. I tried kiting him to different places, and someone told me that if I take him all the way to Finkle he should just run back but nothing worked. Can someone please explain this to me, whether I am making some dumb mistake or what?

Yeah, this doesn't work the way it should.

Easy fix tho: have one of your casters wand drakk a couple of times before he leaves the room. It won't be enough to pull aggro, but it'll make sure he doesn't reset. Hope this helps.

Depends how far you're taking him, target a raid member and if their frames aren't reset to "out of range" type, boss should pickup on someone else when feigning. You're probably simply taking him too far. I usually run inside Rend room and turn immediately left into the jump corner, when Drakkisath hits the door I feign.

Thanks for the help! Will try the caster thing. I usually took him into Beasts room, so for sure not too far. Seems like a bug on the realm atm

I think it has something with the reduced vision range in dungeons and raids, I don't think there are so many raids and dungeons up that the reduction should be applied to them aswell, World is ok, Instances are not.

Best way to do this is have maxed out Hawk Eye in MM tree and be max range then Aimed Shot, Distracting Shot pull him back to rends room.

I feel like this was patched last days.

I failed 3 days ago, the boss just reset on my FD until going to tanks. Never happened before. Maybe with a heal on time on you when you begin kitting it should be good.
I personnally put my pet in half way to be sure dark wont reset.

He kept resetting for me when I went all the way to the back corner of rends room, but seemed to not reset when I dropped aggro at the entrance,

Easy fix. Make a caster land a few wand shots on him standing in the doorway and not move until he sees the boss coming.
