Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Hey guys. i want to level a hunter. Its been almost a decade since Ive played this patch and honestly I'm lost in what to spec into for leveling. Obviously on retail its BM all the way. however at this patch, should i just focus on a heavy MM build? my only worry is constantly pulling aggro from my pet since MM is going to increase my dps over my pets. any thought or experience?
