Broken Tooth sounds like a PitA to tame with the waiting list and dick rogues. So what's the next best pet? Are there specific cats out there with a 1.1 or 1.2 delay?

Really depends what it's for. Most raid with wolf, and for that you can try get Deathmaw that is 1.2 but wolfs don't learn Claw so stuck with Bite. But first need max rank howl from LBRS wolf.

Pet damage should scale with attack speed either way, so not going for "BiS" pet doesn't kill you. But helps in PvP.

I didn't know most raided with a wolf; good to know!

Do most farm with bears?

I was mainly concerned with the low attack speed for PvP. I don't have the time or inclination to fight for Broken Tooth with such a high server population. I was wondering if there was another cat with an attack speed almost as good as BT.

Needles Cougar. 1.2 attackspeed

The easiest to get is probably Deathmaw

Then get the Bat pet from ZG, when that comes out.

If you're 60, then ya I would have to agree that the easiest one to get would be Deathmaw (1.2 attack speed) since he's level 53.

If you're leveling and can't get Broken Tooth I would suggest the Needles Cougar.

I grabbed starving mountain lion from hillsbrad, which is level 23-24 and 1.2 spee, which is a good option for low level.
