This is what I run when farming maraudon (DM can't be soloed anymore).

Having T1 3-set + 5-set or T2 5-set is also very helpful. Give your pet nature resistance if possible, princess deals fat damage.

What is a good pet to use for mara?

I heard Rotgrip hits like a spaceship.

Rotgrip is only hard if you are unlucky. He puts a stacking bleed debuff on your pet and it's pretty spooky when it gets over 5-ish. You can counter it by timing an intimidation or pulling aggro etc when he's about to reapply it. Other times you can just be super lucky with it, I didnt even have to mend pet on some kills. I use a kitty for mara, with T1 (now T2) 5 set and it's fine.

I put some pressure off my pet on Rotgrip. Immolation trap > Aimed > Auto > Multi > SS > Melee til I'm 50% health > Feign. > Start rotation over and you don't have to heal your pet.
