Mana and you - Leveling a Hunter

So in a few days I will be happily rolling a new Hunter on the PvE server.
Might do a Female Nelf for a bit of a change.

I am curious, how do you guys manage your mana while leveling?

Do you go at the mobs hammer-and-tongs, and just carry around a mountain of water at all times?
Or do you down rank or even skip certain shots?
Or hunt for specific mp5 gear/consumables?

What I found myself doing first time around was using a high health/armor boar pet to begin with and using SS and arcane constantly at maxx rank, then in the mid 20's swapping out to a high dps, fast attack speed cat and beginning to downrank or drop Arcane completely from my farm rotation - just Mark + SS meant I could continue grinding mobs almost indefinitely without going OOM.

Retaining mana is quite easy as a Hunter for leveling. You can use a Boar or Cat or whichever you prefer.

Since Hunters Mark doesn't work correctly, just send your pet in with Growl. Let him attack once then Serpent Sting. Then just let auto shot kill the mob. Use Concussive if they run. You never need to cycle anything else and will be close to 100% all the time. That's pretty much all you need!

Turn on auto attack by opening with SS or AS > manually send the pet in or back peddle if you really want to press just 1 button per mob > browse forums \ watch series etc. > loot the mob > skin the mob if its possible > rinse repeat

Your pet definitely will be able to hold aggro while leveling (growl on) if you dont go 'all in' provided that character is BM specced.

So we can say 1 SS or 1 AS mana per mob thus gearing considering mana issues won't be a wise decision.

Mostly autoshot afk, until at some point when r1 multishot becomes very mana efficient. You can throw an AS or SS every now and then but arcane shot and serpent sting do way less damage than your auto shot damage. I dont really think its worth to drink every couple pulls like mages do.
