Hi all, I'm just starting up on the PvE server and thinking I'm rolling hunter. I was hoping you could give me some advice for professions. I need to pick between Engineering and Leatherworking, I know new ranged weapons can be scarce and Engi will let me craft some, but I know Leatherworking is how I get bigger ammo bags and better gear while I level so I don't know what will be more helpful as I level up. HELP!

I'd say engineering is better simply because you can make thorium shells at 60 and save a ton of money on ammo in doing so. Also you get a bunch of cool gadgets. Leatherworking doing make anything that you can't just replace with dungeon gear.

If you want to be a cool kid, engineering.

I had no idea about the ammo, thank you very much!

Engineering for sure; and definitely go Goblin so you can use the Goblin Jumper Cables XL to revive a wiped raid/party. Being a hero and resurrecting the group deep in a dungeon is an awesome feeling
I would go mining with engineering. 1) it is a gathering profession that matches perfectly with engineering 2) you can make good money with 300 mining, 3) I heard that hunters can solo farm dark iron ore so you can make good money doing that
Leveling engineering without taking mining is going to cost a LOT of money. Personally if I were you, I would take skinning/mining during the leveling, and then train engineering (drop skinning, obviously) 1-300 once you hit 60

Cables don't require goblin engineering to use, only to craft.
