Line of sight (Los) is bugged, at least in PvP. Can be hit with spells/abilities around corners and through inclines in the ground.

Pets cannot engage a target unless that pet has LoS of such target. Its supposed to engage on the hunter's LoS only.

Your first point - that's a blizzlike element of the game, you could always shoot through high ground and objects such as certain trees.

Second point - Yep, that's a bug I've seen. The admins are pretty quick.
