Just trying to find some solid crunches and opinions on this matter, I've read a few but haven't found an entirely solid thread. Please share if you have some good insight or an opinion :D ty.

Obviously at some point you want to focus completely on agility but I'm talking about situations where you have a choice between Dal rends set for 1 crit, 50 Ap or double dawns edge for 2 crit.

CRITICAL STRIKE VS ATTACK POWER, for PvE hunter raiding.

People budget 1% crit to be around 30-35ap

Dalrends is 50ap + 1crit..so lowballing it you have 80 ap

Dawn's edge is 2 crit..so approx 70 ap.

Crit is worth more as you have more AP

In nearly every possible gear situation, the critical is the better stat. You need far too much AP to rival 1% critical in dps output. Percentages scale with all of your other gear. Flat stats do not. This means their items are typically better. When you have around 1k AP, which is easy and standard for a Hunter at 60, a slight increase adds only a neglectable amount, where as percentages multiply your entire stack. The OP on percentages leads most items with it to be better than other items far over their level, such as the Mara Princess ring. That's better than anything else you'll get up to 60 except for other items that also have percentages. This is why people use the Mask of Unforgiven, Truestrike, and Eye of Rend, over pretty much anything else. You want hit first, but after the cap to land specials, you then want crits.
