Hunter races PvP/PvE ?

Hello guys,
I've started playing on Nostalrius not very long after moving from another vanilla server because of its lack of activity as a hunter which is the class i've admired the most in wow
The thing is I've been wondering which race (Alliance) would be better for pvp. I mean dwarfs have stone form which is great against rogues and elfs have their stealth form which can be pretty useful too. I'm planning on clearing some pve raids too but i dont think race would matter there as much as in pvp
So what do you suggest ? I really care about the smallest details.

Shadowmeld is great in world pvp but not so much in BG's, while stoneform is always useful. If you care about small differences I'd recommend dwarf, but it doesn't matter too much.

As long as you don't go prostitute elf form, it's ok.
