Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Should/does clever traps work in PvP or is it a waste of two talent points? After testing with a friend it doesn't appear to be when using freezing trap? Perhaps it negates the chance of early heartbeat breaking to guarantee 15 seconds?

Feedback appreciated.
