Taming the Beast hunter quest bugged?

Hi there,
I just dinged level 10 and completed the first part of Taming the Beast, where you need to tame a boar. No problem.
Now I'm trying to complete the second part of the quest by taming a Surf Crawler, but it only gives me an Invalid Target message. I've deleted the WDB-folder, tried relogging, abandoning the quest en reloaded my ui, but this hasn't worked for me.
Does anybody have any other suggestions?

I myself am experiencing the same bug as the OP and have tried what the GM said, but still no results. In my case I can't tame the Nightsaber Stalker. +the NPCs are not shown on the minimap with the Track beast turned on.

Try deleting your WDB folder while the game is closed, as that will refresh quest states. Then try the script again.

Having This Same Issue, Also Did Both Suggestions Neither Of Them Worked...

You have to write the script exactly as written here, including the capital letters and the parenthesis at the end.
/script PetAbandon()
The will not say anything if it works. Instead, if you get an error message, you did not type it in correctly.

I´ve tried deleting the WDB and WTF folder, relogging, abandoning the quest, tried taming it in different locations and I typed the script but nothing of this is working.
Is there any other way to fix this?

Unfortunately, I have the same problem.
I tried everything, abandoned the quest, logged out, deleted WDB and WTF folders, logged in, used the script (correctly), took the quest again, and still "Invalid target".
Is there any way to fix this?

Having the same issue and I've literally tried everything above perfect to the T and still I get the same result...
Please help fix this bug.
