Tests claimed that this is true, at least on that server. Anyone here that can confirm this is legit?
If this is true that means that as a troll hunter you could skip ALOT of hit rating gear and go for more raw dps items. Cheers

This is wrong. Ranged attacks use the same formula as one-hand melee.
If skill difference > 10 hit chance is
93 - (skillDifference - 10) * 0.4
If skill difference <= 10
95 - skillDifference * 0.1
9% hit cap for 300 skill
6% hit cap for 305 skill
