As a PVP hunter what raiding spec do you use?

I saw a guild link this as the norm for hunter raiding specs:

http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#cbZiVohthtIbbV0h

For my play style I like to entertain this build :
http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#cZxEo0thtf0ibRh

How limited am I to raiding guilds? Being a popular class and people wanting to min max specs. I do see the bm talents valuable in the first build. But like I said I pvp> pve. And do not really wish to change the spec

Then don't change.
Your current build is actually better CC, longer traps that don't get resisted as much. There is no need for you to respec.
Minmaxing is completely unnecessary. It might give an edge, add a few points of dps I guess, but truthfully, other than if you're going for e-peen competitions, it won't matter. I assume raiding is about killing big baddy dragons controlled by a 2005 AI. Your spec can perfectly do that without too much trouble if you're a good player.

In theory, your spec could pass, less overall dps but traps have their use here and there. However, things to change are: Hawk Eye 3/3 is a must have as a raiding hunter, Improved Hunters Mark is not that good (some guilds wont let you use it and it could get overwritten buy other hunters who don't have it) so Efficiency is place to put those excess 2 TP (even go 5/5 in preraid gear cause mana will be your biggest issue), Slaying talents may be bugged still (need confirmation) but there is no reason not to have 3/3 in both if you are going that tree, you don't need more than 1/2 in Clever Traps (in order to make freeze/frost trap last longer than feign CD), and in reality you would love to have Improved Feign Death to make all those traps work most of the time... Its hard if not impossible to make spec that works both for PvP and PvE, respecing for raids is way to go. Just my opinion.

If the slaying talents are working, I’ll stick with this build: http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#cbZiVohthtI0rmoh

You got all necessary skills and just losing 2% stamina as well as some parry. But you stay with Deterrence, Hawk Eye and even 2/5 imp Hawk. Depending on your melee weapon you can swap the 2 points in Savage Strikes for a 4/5 imp Wing Clip. I would recommend Savage Strikes for high dps 2hands for pvp purposes. Critting a mage in melee range for 700+ might give you an edge sometimes.

If the slaying talents are not working (and I assume they don’t work), go with this: http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#cbZiVohtht0xfmoh
You will gain some parry that will do good in pvp as well as 1 more point in imp Wing Clip. I used this spec on a different private server as a standard build for both, pvp and pve until naxx.

I did originally have yardage and 2 in efficiency, but a friend convinced me it was unnecessary. It wasn't til I was asked to pull magistrate that I realized there was a use in pve.

That spec will work in PvE fine.

The most important change would be getting hawk eye and efficiency. The range is generally good since you can outrange some bosses aoe fears and mana is always a problem in raids, so cheaper spells makes a huge difference.

I don't know how you play PvP, but I generally don't put hunter's mark on my target in close 1v1 fights unless I got a freezing trap in, so impHM is kinda useless while range is always good to have in PvP.

Then again, hunters will never be the top damage dealers in raids, so as long as you can supply with trueshot aura then you'll get into most raids.

But if you wanna join a raiding guild and be a core raider I suggest going with the link you found. You got 39 other people min maxing to finish the raid and you're expected to do the same.

I played WoW mostly during wotlk and even if I didn't reach endgame in neither classic nor TBC, I got increasingly pissed at the blatant downgrade in difficulty that I witnessed when levelling, doing dungeons and generally getting around.

@topic: he asked about raiding on Nost (which you have no clue about), we tried to provide some advice. Nobody said to him he need to be tryhard so do not get so triggered, in fact, GTFO with your crusade and once for all realize that there are still more people here wanting to raid than raid spots in guilds that don't wipe on Lucifron. Ive witnessed dancing owlbears during boss fights, intentional pulls left and right till there is no shit left to be pulled, people droping into raids straight outa BGs with PvP specs and i am fine with all of it, we do not need to be hardcore tryhards, but it is nice and respectful of others that each pull his own weight. Beside, people are competitive, and soon rather than later somebody gonna ask himself 'what can I do to perform better' and following meta builds that were theorycrafted ages ago is just one of those things. And moreover, you can still have fun with it :) chill
