They don't. Haven't seen my pet resist frost nova or polymorph once. Back when I played vanilla it was practically impossible to cc a hunter's pet. Please fix.

Press c, go to pet tab, check pet resistances. Bet you right now, they all say 0.

Sure your pet can sometimes resist a spell, but with 0 across the board, it's very, very unlikely. Now if you do in fact have pet trained with resistances, and yes you do have to train them for it, then this would be fine to say they aren't resisting more than without them.

Also if you really did "play vanilla back in the day", you would know hunter pets were one of the easiest things to CC in PvP.

Indeed they don't work, my pet hasn't resisted any spells at all (having 60 all resists at 30 lvl should make a HUGE difference) i haven't even noticed damage reduction from them, i.e. creature casts multiple Lightning Bolts and all of them do full damage all the time #5yearsofscripting.

Their resistances working same with any player's resistances. CC mechanics same with binar s[pell resistance - full resist, or full damage, but for CC it's control or resist. Example:

Pets here are totaly bugged and sorted as mob so the problems with control duration, diminishing, resitances working depends on that fact

I know what resistances are, how to get them and how they should work. Please read the title again, where I clearly use the word "resistances" instead of just saying something along the lines of "my pet doesn't resist shit". Also, stop thinking that everybody is as stupid as you once were and instead try to contribute to the topic.

Well, at least it's good to hear that they can actually resist stuff. I used to play mage in vanilla, so I can't really know how much the actual % should be, but I'm pretty confident that I often lost the fight vs hunters, just because of some stupid resist (inb4 random autist shitposts, saying that it was the result of BW immunity).

i also think resistances do not work as they should. they just need to clarify how do they work on this server. if they only lowers dmg taken from some source, or they also give chance to resist spell.
