Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

What information does everyone have on this mob? Recent kills, spawn time (which I think is between 8-12 hours) and location (above ratchet in the barrens?) Is he even in nostalrius? I'd really like to tame him as he's the only black lion in the game

By the way, for anyone waiting for him to respawn, I captured Humar at around 6am server time. With a supposed 8-12 hour respawn time, next respawn should be around 2-6pm server time. However, I'm not sure if server restarts affect the timer. The server reset once when I was waiting for him and reset all the mobs around him, but not Humar himself, so I'm not sure how rare spawns are affected by server hitches.

Respawns on every rarespawn I've camped have all been static so far. So if you get the timer just make sure to be there 5 minutes early when hes due up next.

He actually does exist on Nost. I tamed him when I was lvl 25. My best buddy since then

He has and APS of 1.3 which is close to Broken Tooth with 1.0 and all the other stats are Cat-family related.
Respawn Timer seems to be 12 hrs.

Tbh taming him is just a question of personal preference. Due to the bugged OP dmg of Raptor pets on Nost you should roll on one of those to make unfair wins easily...

For myself I will stick with him to honor the luck I just had by getting this King

Humar the pridelord was happily, and awesomely tamed at 13:35 server time, 7:33 am EST.
Spent 7 hours, and 40 minutes camping him while shadow melded. I am now extremely tired as I have almost been up 24hrs.
It's well worth it!

Not quite sure why people would want him, unless for leveling purposes for the 1.3 AS, but Rake in Mulgore is faster with a 1.2 AS (or 3 other cats while leveling for 1.3 and sooner than lvl 23). I know he's the only black lion model tameable ingame, so it has RP quality, but I couldn't understand the mindset to camp him for over 7 hours for it.

If you want a really top shelf RP pet, you should get the transparent leopard in darkshore, since it's the only pet in vanilla with an actual effect. The 1.12.0 patch notes include some pets had their color changing abilities removed, which means pre 1.12, they could change colors when summoned randomly. Another vanity some hunters like seeking out.
